Who can see my request?
Only the people you personally share your link with. Your request is never listed in any public directory and is not searchable on Google or any other search engine. You choose exactly who receives your request — whether that's your immediate family, a handful of close friends, your entire workplace, or all of the above. Nobody outside your chosen circle will ever know the request exists.
Do my supporters need an account to contribute?
No. Contributors click your link, choose an amount, enter their card details, and pay. That's it. No account, no download, no signup required on their end. The goal was to make contributing as effortless as possible — because the easier it is, the more likely people are to help.
How does the fee structure work?
A Better Gift charges a 6.9% service fee per contribution, paid by the contributor on top of their contribution amount. If someone contributes $100, they pay $106.90 — and you receive $100. Nothing is ever deducted from what you receive. Creating an account and creating requests is completely free.
How quickly do I receive contributions?
Funds are routed to your account the moment a contribution is processed — A Better Gift never holds your money. Standard payouts arrive in approximately 2 business days to a linked bank account. Debit cards can also receive payouts within approximately 1-2 business days. Each contribution processes independently, so you don't have to wait for funds to accumulate before they start moving.
Can I share my request on social media?
Yes — and it's entirely your choice. Your request is never publicly listed on its own, but if you want to post your link on Facebook, send it in a group chat, or share it anywhere else, you can.
